@imbethmccoll @Miss_LA_English Totally agree; when I voiced my concerns to a friend she said ‘we’ll have you ever thought those things about someone running’ and I thought no; I’ve just been super envious of them!

@Miss_LA_English As a late to running runner who had this exact fear I promise that pride in yourself will soon hugely outstrip initial self consciousness. It helped to ask myself when the last time I noticed someone running was & felt anything but jealousy (wanted to run myself) or indifference

I want to start running in the new year but I’m honestly so anxious about it. I’ve downloaded the couch to 5k app but I’m finding it hard to convince myself to actually go and run. I think I’m scared of looking like an idiot. How do people get over the fear of looking stupid?

@Miss_LA_English But honestly running has literally changed my life; my mental health has vastly improved, my skin is glowing and the sense of achievement is off the scale. So just do it and I promise you no one will care (and make sure you pick a banging playlist too!) 😊

@Miss_LA_English I did couch to 5k in the summer and am doing a half marathon in May. When I first started running outside I honestly thought someone would roll down their window and shout ‘get running fatty’ 🤣 then I realised no one actually cares and I have my music on too loud to hear them 🤣

@_MissieBee As a HT, I would never have a data target in a teachers PM; what control do teachers have over major life events that might happen? We don’t have targets at all, we have one area of teachers individual choice to work on and master over the year 1/2

This afternoon we held our first @OPAL_CIC festival of play for our parents and it was amazing! I’m ready for bed now but seeing parents playing alongside their children was truly magical!

Temi, 6, and Mary, 5, have been homeless for six months. The family have been moved 10 times to different temporary properties. Their primary school is in Peckham, but they’re staying in a guesthouse an hour away. At their school, over HALF of the 300 pupils are also homeless.

@MarieSweetlove2 @RossMcGill I’m thinking of doing this too; I can’t stand the thought of parents feeling the pressure to buy a photo every year when times are hard enough. Has it been successful can I ask?

@RossMcGill We are moving to take our own photos in house so that we can provide digital photos at absolute minimum cost. Really conscious of finding ways to reduce costs for families.

Anon post: I’m a new head and just wondered how often other heads take for working at home/ offsite/ locked away for uninterrupted time? I would like to spend a morning a week working from home to do Sip/ strategic planning but have the guilt of leaving school.

Plz plz RT I know it’s September but this is so so so important. This is just heartbreaking 💔 Go into your local @DunelmUK store, they have a tree with gift tags on. You pick a gift tag take it, then return the present with the tag attached back to that store at beginning of December, then the presents will be taken to the children.. you can also add extra little gifts in if you like not just what’s on the tag. I sat and finished this today. It was a SUPERB read right until the ending. No spoilers. I am not sure how I feel really. Undeniably a superb read. Sally is a wonderful character exploration. I just feel a bit bereft. Would be interesting how other people who have read it felt.
