Rutherford County Schools was well represented at the Oct. 27–30 Statewide Special Education & Student Support Access Conference in Chattanooga, where eight presenters highlighted ESL best practices. Presenters included district ESL coaches Emily Davis, Terah Pring, Dr. Meghan Vigil, and Lauren Crutchfield; Dr. Christine Tennyson, Andrew Raney, and Candice Walls from Riverdale High; and Sweety Anand from Smyrna Middle. The conference—hosted by CLEE in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Education—brought together educators statewide to explore evidence-based practices spanning English learners, special education, RTI², and intervention strategies.
