@MPHaddix This is a great question! Our eighth graders are in their dystopian unit. I'll have to ask them this question.

A kid's question at a school visit: "In a dystopian story, can a main character do anything but resist?" So now I am racking my brain to think of any (good) dystopian tale where the MC *doesn't* resist, at least eventually, if not at first. Can anyone else think of one?
