Students in Ms. Netti’s class work in collaborative groups to find supporting details from the text. This structure allows the teacher to monitor each student individually and check that they understand the critical content. Students present their section to the class.

Today was the first meeting of Mrs. Cruz’s Book Club! Students got to eat lunch while discussing the first four chapters of our novel The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe! We discussed our likes, tried to describe Narnia, and made predictions about what is coming up next!

Ms. Curran pushed into Ms. Netti’s class to facilitate a small group about compliments. Compliments & affirmations are a great way to spread kindness and positivity. Reply to this post by adding someone you want to compliment, or send an affirmation, to as a way to thank them.

Ms. Netti used hand motions to help students remember what they are learning in class. Students need increased opportunities to move while they are learning. 🕺💃 She selected a student to model the hand motions to the class. 👏🏽 This reinforces the learning and develops leaders.

Ms.Netti has students respond to questions by moving around the classroom. She gathers more Evidence of Learning by asking students “why” they responded the way they did. This helps her determine if students know the answer or are following the crowd. #PositivityEmpowerSuccess
