One of the beautiful thing about trading is that as a trader as long as you remain disciplined and consistent you can bounce back from any financial set back at all ..

@Kelvinking_ That’s why community feedback matters. One payout screenshot means nothing. Hundreds of traders getting paid over time tells a completely different story.

This is the same for me First thing is “will this firm pay me ?” What are people saying about them regarding their payout ???
Mrusoro@Mrusoro

@Kelvinking_ For me, it’s payout history first. A prop firm that doesn’t pay consistently isn’t worth the effort. After that, I look at whether the rules fit my strategy & plan. Good traders don’t just pass challenges, they choose firms they’re actually built to succeed with.

I’ve always talked about prop firms every now and then, and I still believe they’re one of the best things to happen to the trading space. They give traders leverage. Sometimes, the only difference between you and the traders you look up to is capital. If you have the skill but only a small amount of money, how do you access larger capital? That’s where prop firms come in. The real challenge isn’t whether to use a prop firm it’s choosing the right one. So, how do you pick a good prop firm? The first thing I look at is simple: Will this firm actually pay me after all my hard work? If the firm has a strong track record of paying traders consistently, that’s a great starting point. The next step is to carefully go through their rules. Most prop firms aren’t as bad as people make them seem. The reality is that trading a prop firm requires discipline. Read the rules honestly and ask yourself: Do these rules fit my trading style? For example: Some traders are comfortable with consistency rules. Some don’t mind minimum trading days. Some can avoid trading during high-impact news. Others struggle with one or more of these. Does that automatically make the firm with those rules a bad prop firm? Absolutely not. If the firm pays traders who follow its rules, then the firm is doing exactly what it promised. The key is finding a prop firm whose rules align with the way you trade, not choosing one based solely on what everyone else is saying. t.me/billicm What’s the number 1 rule you look out for when buying a prop account ???

The biggest mistake I see beginners make isn’t choosing the wrong strategy. It’s choosing the wrong mentor. A lot of people try to learn from someone whose journey is so far removed from theirs that they can’t even see the path between where they are and where they want to be. If you’re trying to make your first consistent $1,000 learning from someone talking about $10M years and institutional desks might inspire you but it won’t always give you the roadmap you need. Find someone a few chapters ahead. Someone whose results make you think: “I can realistically build that.” That’s exactly what I did. Instead of chasing hype, That’s exactly what I did. I learned from @Kelvintalent_ because he’d already built the prop firm path I wanted to replicate. I followed a path I could actually replicate. That decision changed everything. Today, I use prop firms to accelerate my growth while building personal capital alongside it. Your mentor shouldn’t just impress you. They should have a journey you can realistically duplicate. The right mentor doesn’t just change your trading. They change your trajectory.

The fastest way to grow is to follow a path that’s believable enough to commit to and proven enough to trust.
