Yesterday we listened to special read aloud for World Down Syndrome Day. It was a wonderful story inspired by Sophia Sanchez and sparked an awesome conversation about what makes everyone in our class unique! @c_hadfieldps#WorldDownSyndromeDay
Today we took a virtual field trip to the sugarbush! We learned how maple trees are tapped for their sap and about traditional Anishinaabe ways of gathering sap from a maple tree. @c_hadfieldps
Read We Are Water Protectors to my class. I’ve been waiting to share this book all year! We’ve been learning to make connections and students had so many thoughtful ideas about how the books connects to things they know about water and water pollution. @c_hadfieldps
Today we read the story Stolen Words to build on our learning about residential schools from yesterday. We also watched a video to learn a few Cree phrases and drew pictures to help us remember the new words we learned! @c_hadfieldps
