Ss analyzed a primary source document, the Declaration of Sentiments. They worked together to take the old English phrasing, and put it in their own words. What they discovered: women deserved more rights! #engage142 @Seesaw @LRFSchool142

Our 4th grade Ss did an amazing job at the Living Museum today! The other grades loved watching them transform into their famous person. They worked so hard to prepare, it was great to see all the work pay off. Tomorrow we perform for parents! #engage142 @LRFSchool142

We love The Lightning Thief! Ss are buddy reading one chapter. They use post-its to annotate important parts, using our close read strategies. These notes help them lead their own discussion groups! #engage142 @LRFSchool142 @camphalfblood

Ss had fun ending our Greek Mythology unit by doing some readers theater. They got to act out different stories and film their “performance”. A great way to practice reading fluency, and a fun end to the week! #engage142 @LRFSchool142

Ss reviewed one of the hardest 4th grade reading standards: making inferences. To shake things up, we made inferences using pictures! They went to different stations and used evidence to determine what was going on in the photo. #testprepcanbefun #engage142 @LRFSchool142

Ss are reading nonfiction articles about groundbreaking women. Today they used @Seesaw to draw and describe how one of those women, Bessie Coleman, inspires them. @LRFSchool142 #engage142

Ss watched Tuck Everlasting and then compared the movie and book, for a 4th grade reading standard. They got so excited spotting all the differences! Most students asked if they could write more because they couldn’t fit all their ideas on one page! #engage142

Ss are working on stop motion videos as one last project for Tuck Everlasting! Instead of just retelling the story, they had to write an extended chapter, answering the question: what would happen if Winnie did drink the water? #engage142 @LRFSchool142
