@pwharris I've seen people criticize tiles and other representation systems on account of how inefficient it is to carry out computations on them. These criticisms typically overlook the fact that tiles are optimized for *understanding* computation, not for doing it.

Starbooks anyone? K-5 students previewed new books in a cute cafe style. They enjoyed books like, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Sleigh and The Wild Robot Protects while listening to music and taking in the aromatic scent of coffee.
