Our Computing, Tech, Maths and Science departments trialled our STEM lesson to some S1 pupils today. This involved bridge design, building and testing by programming an indi-sphero car to travel over. The pupils showed very creative ideas and excellent team working skills.

So, so proud of our team placing 2nd today out of ten Glasgow teams. With only a point difference with the winning team they did amazingly well and worked so hard. Absolute stars 🌟@StAndrewsRCSec

Our S2 Bronze Cadets have just completed their final presentation to a panel of judges and did amazingly well. So proud of their team work and leadership skills throughout when putting together their amazing our school is an island ideas.

Great day at @ThalesUK and @SmartSTEMs developing our knowledge and skills of cybersecurity smart technologies. Our first years had some amazing presentations as well and showed off their fantastic design ideas. Well done all ⭐️

Mrs Fox went along to @viridor_glasgow with some of our S2 EDT Bronze Cadets to learn all about reduce, reuse, recycle and recover. They got a tour of the site and got to find out more about the different processes.

Our Young STEM leaders went along to St. Francis of Assisi primary this morning to teach some of the primary 3 different hands on STEM activities. I’m not sure who had more fun 😀 @YoungSTEMLeader

Mrs Fraser and some of our S3 girls went along to the Future Her: Inspiring Young Entrepreneurs event at Strathclyde Uni. They got to hear from some of the amazing female entrepreneurs about their career pathways and then had the opportunity to pitch their own start up company ⭐️

Thank you to Mrs Connolly for taking some of our pupils along to With Kids to learn all about play therapy. These pupils are interested in childcare and primary education so they got the opportunity to learn all about this process and the skills required to pursue this career.

Beyond proud of our S5 EDT Gold Cadets who completed their final assessment today and carried out an excellent presentation on their security design to a panel of experts. Your Industrial Cadets Gold Level Award has been truly earned @StAndrewsRCSec
