This week students are combining art and Phys. Ed. with a drawing/fitness a activity! Our design choices determined our exercises, and then we got to draw. At the end, we all had a unique ice cream cone! 🍦☀️@VEN_HDSB

This week in Phys. Ed., students learned about the Olympic Games. Then we played a Would You Rather game to learn which sports are included at the Olympics and to choose our favourites! @VEN_HDSB

Students have been working on their balancing skills in PE, and this week Baby Yoda taught them some new poses in this fun video! There were MANY Baby Yodas that joined in on the fun (these are only a few that I managed to get pictures of!) @VEN_HDSB

This week Grade 4s and 5s learned about the components of fitness through this fun Among Us themed movement activity. Students love it when one of their favourite games inspires Phys. Ed. activities! Can you find the 'component of fitness' imposter? 👀 @VEN_HDSB

This week Gr 1s read "I am. Magical Me!" What colours, sounds, and animals do you love? What makes you feel happy, sad, or angry? Ss loved answering the story's questions as they explored their thoughts and feelings while celebrating what makes them magical✨

This week, grade 2s and 3s combined fitness and art to get ready for winter! Our design choices determined which fitness activities we would do. By the end, we each had a unique snowman! ⛄️ ❄️ @VEN_HDSB

This week, 2s and 3s practiced moving along different pathways. We moved like crabs, kangaroos, and eagles. We even got to choose what type of animal to move like along our pathways - there were many creative choices! 🐶🕷🦖🐍🐢🐠🐱🐰🐸🐒🐋🐅🦍🐖🐇 @VEN_HDSB

Students have been enjoying starting our Phys. Ed. classes with Two Truths and a Lie! Each week a few students get to share and spin the wheel to see what exercise challenge we have to do if we guess the lie wrong! @VEN_HDSB

Grade 4s and 5s began Phys. Ed. this week! We took a moment at the end of class to reflect on why Phys. Ed. is an important subject - even in the virtual world! @VEN_HDSB

This week, grade 4s started their healthy eating unit. We brainstormed together what we already knew about healthy eating. I spy some keywords on our jamboard that we will be focusing on during this unit 👀

Happy I got to spend some time with class 6-9 this week! We had some fun using Jamboard and learning about the sea turtles at Ripley's Aquarium! Can't wait to meet the rest of my students next week for phys. ed! 🏃🏻‍♀️ @VEN_HDSB
