Super proud of these little lions being the first to sign the 10 mile board! 4th grader Yohan and 2nd Grader Jonas have showed incredible drive these last weeks to meet their goal! #ExpeditionExcellence#LovemyLISD#ABSproud
Our trashketball math review was INTENSE this morning as my lions worked together on solving math problems with their teams. "In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn".

Last week my student finished reading his book and realized it didn’t have an A.R (recent release) I explained the why and suggested he could write his own test. Without hesitation he came up with the 10 questions. Today we published and his reaction was priceless. 🫶
Today we learned about financial institutions during math. Withdrawals and deposits. Then I met with my bankers and they began to write the first checks. Skills practiced: word form, rounding, decimals, and how to write a check. #ClassroomEconomy#4thGrade
Thank you to all that participated in our sewing project. Students and staff brought their items of clothing that needed alterations or repairs and the sewing club students were happy to help. #strawnACEsewingclub#somoslosabslions#lovemyLISD
We are very excited to have Srta. Adriana Gonzalez and Sr. Abraham Lopez join as our newest members of the ABS Team. We are so fortunate to have them form part of our family. Siempre con Ganas por que Somos los ABS Lions! #ABSProud#UnlockingPotential
Today at ABS, it was dress like your teacher or a genius day (but really, they're one in the same.)
Here is Mrs. Gallegos 3rd grade class full of mini Mrs. Gallegos.

The sewing club did a great job with the sewing machines at Strawn Elementary ACE. We even had a few new additions to the club and our senior sewist (sitting) taught them the basics.
