Spending any time on here has become too negative to be worth my time. I have made so many great connections here over the years that I don't want to give up... But there's nothing left that resembles what I once got from Twitter. Find me on Bsky or send a DM to stay connected!🙏🏻

Next time you’re talking with a colleague about retrieval practice and they say, “I already do this,” send them this article. The core of evidence-based practice isn’t just using the practice. It’s using it the way the evidence says it works.

Why is this presented in a way that makes it seem like this is unreasonable? Let's not cherry pick the data. For the record we are 47% of the peel region. What this tweet fails to tell us is what percentage of the region's funding comes from Mississauga
City of Mississauga@citymississauga

Of every dollar you pay in property taxes, Mississauga receives only 37%, which is used to provide City services to residents. The majority – 47% – goes to the Region of Peel, while the remaining 16% goes to the Government of Ontario. Learn more about why your taxes were high in 2025. bit.ly/3JdD0gj

Today we welcome students back to school across #Peel! 🍎 A reminder that students are back on our sidewalks, crosswalks, and school zones — please drive with extra caution and obey all posted speed limits. For students, before heading out on your bike: always wear a properly fitted helmet, stay visible with bright clothing and lights, and follow all traffic rules by riding in the same direction as vehicles. Let's work together to keep our kids safe. Here's to a safe and successful school year #BacktoSchool #Peel

Don't feed coyotes - no matter how hungry they look! 🚫 Coyotes will go where food is easy to find, including outdoor malls, restaurants and plazas. Discarded food litter, waste and intentional feeding can attract coyotes and other wildlife to these busy areas, posing a public safety concern. Help keep Mississauga safe by properly disposing of food waste and remember to never feed wildlife. Help protect the community and the wildlife that lives in it. Learn more: bit.ly/4mB8WtH

Officers will be on-site to address any issues and, if necessary, may close the plaza, restrict surrounding streets, and remove individuals who refuse to comply with lawful orders. It’s important to note that non-compliance may result in arrest. Public safety remains our top priority.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like worry—it can show up as school refusal, outsize reactions, constant reassurance-seeking, trouble focusing, or “I don’t care” attitudes. If it starts to affect daily life at home, school, or with friends, it may be time to look closer.

@citymississauga I believe the new accessible pedestrian signal installed at Kenninghall & Creditview are not working properly. Was there yesterday and the sound was the same continuously, no matter which direction had the walk symbol and even when the don't walk was flashing.

In Mississauga, collisions at intersections continue to be a big problem. We’ve been working to redesign intersections to reduce the risk of collisions and advance our road safety goals. This includes: 🚶‍♀️ Installing Pedestrian Head Start Signals and accessible pedestrian signals. ⬅️ Implementing fully protected left-turn phases. ➡️ Removing channelized right-turn lanes. I’ve always found this to be the most straightforward definition of privilege; when an aspect of your identity might not make your life easy, but it’s not one of the things making it hard, and the same is demonstrably not true for others who identify differently.
Lance Cooper@lmauricecpr

White privilege doesn't mean your life hasn't been hard. It just means your skin color isn't one of the things making it harder.

The last time this happened, someone went to jail. The Ford government pulled out all the stops to cover up their Greenbelt scheme. When will the Premier answer for this? The truth is finally coming out and we won’t stop fighting for accountability.
Colin D'Mello | Global News@ColinDMello

NEW: Ontario’s transparency watchdog says the Ford government’s use of personal emails and codewords when it removed land from the Greenbelt provides a “cautionary tale” on the importance of transparency. globalnews.ca/news/11237831/… #ONpoli
