@chiefschicktx @FixingEducation It also doesn’t say if this was addressed to 18 year olds or 8 year olds.
English

@MsInnerfield @FixingEducation At what age are they old enough to know that their actions have conseuqences?
She didn't get fired withoout them complaing to their parents.
English

@pbstjohn @FixingEducation There’s no grade level here. Would you feel the same if it was a sixth grade class? What about a third grade class?
English

Wrong. Students need to be taught that failure isn’t something to accept and normalize. At the same
time they need to learn that failure isn’t final. When students learn that self-improvement means overcoming challenges then their attitudes toward failure will change. Until then we reward failure to coddle hurt feelings. The world doesn’t care about feelings.
When teachers are forced to pander to equity regardless of effort, I cannot blame them for quitting.

@Nick_Knack3347 LOL! Love it.
It's probably bigger than the actual Mona Lisa.
English

@KatieB1749 I do that with books.
Don't ask me how many times I've read my favorite book. It's a lot.
English

@MelindaMango I think that is incredible!
I gave a "Make it, Take it" PD once where we made these.
These are the directions I used for that session.

English

@loomiunite Yep, that sounds about right.
Sometimes the biggest chaos factors are the once who need us, and (maybe secretly) appreciate us, the most.
English

Student: “ I don’t know why it’s only a week. Every day should be teacher appreciation day!”
Same student not 10 minutes later was screaming at her classmate because he cut in line and stepped on her shoelace because her shoes were untied.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week, friends!
Sharing these for my 4th grade class. We just finished the first one, and they absolutely loved the “choose your own adventure” style.
If anybody would like to help out a group of voracious readers (who are usually very kind to each other 😂) look no further than our classroom in Ohio!

@leemaxfield29 @drios1111 @MindyCoreOU @GridironSchol91 @MrsShadish @MathteachCT @PearDeck @wayground Absolutely! It’s amazing how quickly students that are reluctant to share answers when their peers can see will write down their thoughts if only the teacher can see.
English

@MsInnerfield @drios1111 @MindyCoreOU @GridironSchol91 @MrsShadish @MathteachCT @PearDeck @wayground Yes, it makes them more comfortable if you are the only one seeing it.
English

It’s not about getting a few students to participate. It’s about making participation part of the experience for everyone.
What’s one strategy you use to make sure every student participates?

@ZsaffrynTerra I adore him. So cute.
Sending positive vibes your way!
English

@ZsaffrynTerra Definitely check! If you have one you might have more.
I’ve ordered seed potatoes from here before. They ship all over.

English

Ohhh 🫠 I should have known it would not be simple. 😅
I am not sure of any of that. It was a seed potato—red potato I think based on skin color and thickness—from another gardener. I just pushed dirt over the potato that unburied itself during watering. I should probably do a closer inspection.
English

@ZsaffrynTerra Also, if it’s too late for that particular potato, you can still get seed potatoes and do a fall harvest. There are some types of potatoes that don’t take as long and are particularly suited to a short fall harvest.
English

@ZsaffrynTerra Does it have eyes? That’s where the new growth happens. Also depends on your temperature, and the needs and length of growing time of that particular potato type.
