With the new school year about to begin, let’s remember that not every student went on a family vacation, visited an amusement park, explored nature or met new friends at a sleepover camp in the woods. Some students summer highlights include having a roof over their head and just enough food to survive. I am a stutterer. I am very (maybe too 😆) comfortable with my voice right now. Many things have contributed to this peace - cold calling did not. In fact, a teacher lost just about all of the capital they’d earned with me when they did it. Months of work undone in 5 seconds.
