Reviewing papers today I got pissed that book chapters I have published that are directly relevant were not cited. So I uploaded the chapters to Academia.com. They still won't get cited, but I feel better. And a bit embarrassed for being so petulant.

@dcoatesecon The good news is that book chapters are now easier to find with Google Scholar. Books are just not valued in economics. I frequently get papers to review estimating player MRPs that don't cite an entire book I wrote on the subject. Should have just published series of articles.

(For those of you not on the GeriatricBook): my friend, colleague, and co-author Scott McClurg has lost his long-drawn and difficult fight against cancer. He is one of the strongest, most inspirational people I've had the privilege of knowing. His memory will always inspire a smile and love for me and all who knew him.
