“We’re down by one point…” 🏀 Dozens of you tagged me yesterday on this lovely video of a family infusing a little dramatic play into their toddler’s indoor basketball practice. There’s so much to love here. Our hero’s enthusiastic high five and “Yes, Coach!” had me cheering along, even before the joyful celebration at the end. So fantastic to see the whole family celebrating his success. Watch his face when his parents react. He’s just so delighted. Fully expect to see this little star take over the NBA in 2046. This is my petition to bring felt board activities back to early childhood! A big hit in morning meeting, small groups, AND individually. (Feeding the bugs to the frogs counts as imitating play and pretending, right?!)
