Our financial literacy project was so much fun. My 3rd grade students designed their own business, selected what goods they wanted to sell, counted how much money they made, and split their profit evenly with their business partners.

My students got to perform a small play for their parents.The 2 cast performed “Martina the Beautiful Cockroach.” We elements of drama, summarizing, fluency, memorization, and we tied it with a non fiction narrative about writer Pura Belpre. @ManorISD @MISDMultilingue

Retelling a beautiful story, and then learning to make friendship bracelets.

Using thermal energy to help Francisco the duck. Our students have been learning about different forms of energy. In this activity the my are using different ways of thermal energy to make changes to the ice. @MISDMultilingue

Introduction to points of view. Using fun hands on activities to maximize their interest/understanding. This activity was then moved to an every day station where they manipulate characters and then proceed to write stories in 1st and 3rd person point of view.

Today we explored matter while also learning some cooking skills/safety.

For a 2nd year I had the privilege of donating school materials to students in Mexico. This year I was able to provide for all of the students of an elementary and middle school.

Reading their animal research paper to their peers. They shared adaptations, classifications and habitats. They explained why they’re vertebrates or not, and if they’re carnivores, omnivores, or herbivores.

Third grade bilingual classes has a soccer scrimmage. My class won 2-0 😁

Continuing our financial literacy. Student are creating a food stand. Here we see their food items, logos, & prices. They also calculated how much they are spending to be able to make their products. Next, they will be getting a loan from the bank to start selling to get profit.

Students earn money throughout the week for their hard/completed work. They then get to buy items from my class store. Students are practicing coin recognition, adding/subtracting money, and saving money.

Reminding ourselves that we are more than what the test says ❤️ to be kind to ourselves and to simply give our best.

Planets research. Students had the opportunity to use technology to research two of the 8 planets. 🌌They wrote this information on paper and then typed it out. They had the option to write and read in their prefered language. #ReadingToLearn
