Huge thanks to the @springerlibrary for an engaging orientation with ENG 9. Students checked out books (literally) from a variety of genres while learning how to navigate the library. The library crew was so knowledgeable; with recommendations for all unique interests 📚💛

Educators in politics!

ENG 9 students working hard, annotating the first few pages of “The Outsiders” this week. They used the annotation guides to mark up the text and wrote important notes in the margins. The results? Making textual & real world connections, & them asking to read more 📚 ♥️

Our hearts are with the families and community of Winder, Georgia as our nation reels from yet another tragic school shooting. Our actions need to be there too. We must do everything in our power to keep students and educators safe.

Rocked my new Tidewater Community College swag today. Remember that CC is another path available for furthering education. It’s cost-effective & has opportunities for certification programs as well. Plus, there are tons of resources & supports like Open Door at TCC.

Amazing day! @KimJones24_7 modeled a lesson on annotation. Students are working to understand text on a deeper level and it shows! They learned valuable skills & I had the chance to observe a master educator & student engagement was top tier. Enriching, engaging, and empowering.
