@AndieDelicacy So scary. My brother spent his 18th birthday in hospital with it. I had to take the antibiotics that make your wee bright orange. Neither me or his girlfriend at the time got it. His best mate was a carrier but never got ill

Just when I thought it was over a colleague in a meeting today asked if we’d had a nice Mother’s Day. That has been relevant in my life only as a source of pain since I was 15. Why do people assume we’ve all had the same life experience 🙄

@MartinSLewis Gave a quid to my daughter - a bit short to top up her Oyster - and she passed it to the homeless bloke she always chatted to, near Piccadilly who was only a quid short for the hostel for the night.
