Using Google Forms as a formative assessment to tier lesson. #MesqFed

A1: I want to have the activities together and use the formative assessment to get classroom data before assigning the appropriate activity.

@mrsartesi @Kbkpetty I wish I would had done this years ago.

@Kbkpetty A4: I had not thought about using technology at the beginning of class to decide on who needs differentiation at that time. I think that will help me to differentiate more. #mesqfad

Q4: How is your thinking about differentiation different now? #mesqfad

@JarolimekLaurie @Kbkpetty I love the idea of color coding. Do you change up the colors so that they don’t catch on what the colors represent?

@Kbkpetty In stations, I differentiate by providing various levels of activities. I color code for them, according to student needs. They can grab their assigned color and work on their personal level in each station.

Q3: How have you provided a variety of relevant choices at different learning levels to address individual student needs this year? Describe what you have accomplished. #mesqfad

A3: A1: I have set up stations with a variety of task to address different needs of students. Stations had tiered task so that students at different levels could work at the same station on the same skill. #mesqfad

A4: I am really liking the idea of not creating groups ahead of time but having task planned and assigning them according to the data. #mesqfad

@LpfaLori @Kbkpetty I really enjoyed the Advanced Google for the Classroom training for this. You learn how to use different apps and how you can smash apps (or use multiple apps at a time) to accomplish this.

Q2: How have you designed formative assessments that allow you to respond to data and immediately adjust instruction? #mesqfad

A2: I have been learning about the capabilities of Google Form, Near Pod and several other apps and softwares to immediately give feedback. I am hoping to become more proficient in using these resources.#mesqfad

@cseeley03 @Kbkpetty I am used to using data to differentiate but I like you would like to use more live data from a formative assessment. #mesqfad

@Kbkpetty A1: I have done differentiation of groups by learning styles but I need to work more on using formative assessment to do the groups by ability level. I would love to use the scaffolding we learned about last week.
