Here is a chart which outlines the positive and negative effects media has on education. In my opinion, according to this chart the negatives out way the positives. And thus we should reconsider the role media and technology has in the classroom.

Further reasearch has shown technology can actually hinder learning if the it is not used properly or effectively by both teachers and students. Thus, we should be taught how to use to technology in a way that boosts our learning. #EM203 #EM203OC2Probelm

I find this tweet to be really accurate because I found the parts of education that have stuck with me the most is not the interesting things I have learned, but the way the teachers have made me feel in their classroom. #EM203 #EM203Research

This course has taught me a lot so far. I have learnt how technology can be used within education to teach valuable lessons. I have also learnt how to effectively navigate through social media platforms to enhance my experience. #EM203

@EM203stchabush1 I agree that this course has been very insightful as to the ways in which we learn. I was tasked with learning more about the constructivism learning theory which discussed how learn based on our past experiences. I found it to be very interesting.

This course has opened my eyes to the ways in which we are always learning, even though we are not always aware of it. Learning is so much more than just reading a textbook or listening to a lecture #EM203Robin

@EM203ParvirB I too have enjoyed the first few weeks of EM203. As well, I have enjoyed the interactive approach to the course because it makes me want to engage more with the material.

the first couple weeks of EM203 have been very fun and informative. I have learnt a lot on how we learn through social media and learning is not always in a class room setting these days. #EM203

@em203ltheriault I have found it very interesting to learning about different learning styles and theories too. There are so many that I didn't know about and concepts from the different theories which I did not realize applied to me.

I have enjoyed being introduced to the different styles of learning throughout the first 3 lessons. The multi-tasking experiment this week was a great activity! #EM203

@EM203FKolar I agree technology has had a huge impact on education and the expectations for students today. I found the multi-tasking experience to be quite insightful on my own abilities.

@EM203RSuresh I too have found the course to be very interactive thus far! That's pretty awesome that you learned the tango this week. I choose to learn how to solve a puzzle called nonograms.

#EM203 seems to be a very interactive and activity based course so far. For this week's lesson I learned to Tango! And last week we learned about different learning theories! I am interested to see what else I'll learn throughout this course :)

#EM203 has been a very interesting course so far! I have enjoyed learning about how technology has changed the way we learn, as well as, how people learn through constructivism. The interactive aspects of lessons have also really helped me to engage with the course content!
