A group of students participated in the Annual Frederick Douglass Oratorical Contest, where they memorized, and recited a powerful speech by Frederick Douglass. Their performances in front of a panel of judges and their peers truly impressed us all! @APSVirginia @CRJEducation

Gunston celebrated Red Ribbon Week (10/23-31)! Students pledged to live drug-free, joined live trivia, and designed posters—winners enjoyed a pizza party! Big thanks to Mr. McCoy, our Substance Abuse Counselor, for keeping Gunston safe and supported. @APSVirginia @GMS_Counselors

On Friday, October 18th, Gunston’s Girls on the Run joined Sheriff Quiroz, US Freedom Walk’s Dolores Grenier, Mr. Matos, Coach Ms. Greene, and military personnel for a “Walk with the Sheriff” to kick off the International Freedom Walk. Students received certificates and medals!
