Mom just said "Michelle, I'm ready to leave here. I'm miserable all the time. I can't get comfortable anywhere I lay or sit. I'm in constant discomfort and not enjoying life at all." I told her I'm sorry she feels that way, but there's nothing I can do to hasten her time here. That's up to the Lord. I told her she needs to be honest with the nurse when she comes out today and tell her that she's in constant pain, not constant misery bc they can't do anything for constant misery but give her anti-depressants and she doesn't want those. It's tougher in mom's case bc she doesn't have a terminal illness, her body is just wearing out, but she is miserable. She's just slowly waiting for her heart to stop working from the CHF and while the meds are keeping her alive, her body is in constant pain from her bones and muscles hurting constantly and Tylenol just doesn't do the trick. Her situation is starting to depress me too bc there's nothing I can do to relieve the misery she's in. I'm really struggling this morning and all my brother has to offer is "Well, she's old Michelle."
