Today we had a special visitor @Ms_Donkor come read her book ‘Paula Visits Nana.’ We celebrated Black history by learning about Kente Cloths and creating our own today. Thank you so much for sharing a part of your culture with our classroom. @CNEWM_DPCDSB

AUTHOR VISIT at @Hawksat25 📚🫶🏼 The wonderfully-talented @Ms_Donkor came to read her book, ‘Paula Visits Nana’ to our FDK students! We listened, we learned, and we created our very own Kente Cloths with construction paper alongside her. We LOVED it! Thank you so much. 🧡

Today we had cross curricular math and Valentine’s Day art activity with @maria_mccalmont’s grade 6 class! Students were asked to measure equal squares on their grid and colour in an AB pattern. Math could be so fun❤️💙💜💛🖤💚 @CNEWM_DPCDSB

Today concludes my first ever LTO with my beautiful grade 3/4 family at @CNEWM_DPCDSB. You have all taught me so much about myself as a person, and a teacher. You will forever hold a special place in my heart!
