Every day Early Reading Coaches share stories and work with educators to center joy in reading and work to mitigate disproportionate outcomes. Today, we went to the board meeting to share our story. Thank you to all the trustees who listened and thanked us for the work we do!

Grade 1/2 students at Broadacres read the book “This is How I Know” by Brittany Luby. They talked about Indigenous languages and ways of knowing about seasons. They worked together to create paintings showing how they know seasons are changing! @ChrisLanis @LC1_TDSB @UIEC_Tdsb

The Grade 1s in Ms Azeem"s class @AlbionHeights used loose parts to make connections to the text Waiting is Not Forever. Loose parts allow stories and lived experiences to be made visible when paired intentionally with text.@LC1_TDSB
