We do this for the kids - all of us in my Dept. But never did I imagine that we would experience so much loss doing this heart work - parents of students, coworkers, and, last week, one of our beautiful students. #heartbroken #lifeistooshort

@HealthyMsB1 Another amazing book I’m almost done reading is Caste: The Origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson!

An excellent book for folks to read to really understand this is My Grandmother’s Hands. It speaks about the challenges Black, white and police communities experience when understanding issues of injustice and WHY these convos are difficult.

We cannot stop doing DEI work but we must recognize the tremendous toll it plays on folks - the impact it has on those advocating/teaching and those who are experiencing cognitive dissonance, and be empathetic to both sides as folks try and understand the necessary work.

@avivaloca Hey! My husband works for TPS. He said you could file a Police Report and see if they can access the CCTV cameras from the area. That’s one way. Or you can go through insurance and see if the investigator can can uncover anything. Hope that is a starting point!

Yesterday, I ran into a store to get bread. I was in there for less than 6 min. Someone hit my car & took off. I came back to this. An amazing UBER driver followed the truck & tried to get a license plate #. He got a 📸, but it’s hard to read.Anyone know a way to make it clearer?

Just be kind. You never know what someone else is going through. Heartbreaking. The #mentalhealth struggles are real. Check on your loved ones often - even the happiest of loved ones. ❤️
