We took our Ss on a virtual FT. Did our virtual meeting right at the gardens 🌱 Used @PearDeck to hook Ss to guess where we’d be streaming from and introduced our PBL unit. So many seeing 👀, thinking 💭and wondering 🤔 happened. @KaimiloaES

@tskawaui @EdTechnocation I have the same issue, & there was little to no change after conferencing. After reading the 5 love languages, I invited them to a lunch bunch, and all of a sudden,💥 2/6 kids started finishing all their work. AHA - Some of my kids are just craving attention & connection. 😩

@EdTechnocation A3 A barrier for teachers, in general, seems to be the exhaustion from all of this change and extra workload Validate the need for rest and give emotional support when burden is great. But as far as distance learning...timely feedback and relevant curriculum! :) @808educate

@santosapm A4: Fewer assignments, more positive check-ins/support. For the big assessments, Jamboard collaboration on quality work then single-point rubrics attached to assignments in Google Classroom, so students create/know goals and we easily add and return comments. #808educate

@santosapm My grade-level is very fortunate!! We have iPads, so we’re able to distribute, receive, and provide feedback on their work using Google Classroom. Our students annotate on PDFs, upload pictures of their assignments, or record videos which were able to use as evidence.

@EdTechnocation Ditto to what’s being said, but also the uncertainties due to lack of transparent communication. Are kids coming back or not? Will I need to design lessons for in-person & online teaching at the same time? How will I manage to serve both sets of kids concurrently? #808Educate

@jonmedeiros @EdTechnocation Agreed!! I love our chat room and encourage my students to use it freely as long as their conversations remains on topic. We use a lot of emojis as formative checks too!! 👌

@EdTechnocation Certainly getting each S engaged has been a challenge. Screen time burnout for the Ss is also a problem. Too many live virtual classes each day. Not an innovation, but using Google chat rooms has helped get kids engaged and bouncing ideas around.

@EdTechnocation Q3) Recently, I appreciate Quizizz and Kahoots because they provide immediate feedback to students and conveniently help me monitor their progress. However, they require time to make too. 🤦🏻‍♀️

@EdTechnocation Q3) My biggest struggle is ⏰. Instead of planning how I am going to differentiate & scaffold my lesson, I contemplate how am I going to deliver instruction, distribute work, and provide feedback to students virtually.

@MrsR_Villanueva A1) My students are motivated when they feel success. Distance Learning requires so much reliance, so I try to assign activities within their ZPD & celebrate their successes (no matter the size) together as a class. ❤️
