Tomorrow, after 16 months filling in, I start as the permanent VP at King Edward. Thank you to the staff and students who surprised me with congratulations on Friday. I am very fortunate to be in such a wonderful school community.

When a student says, “all I want for my birthday is to read the 5th Wings of Fire book,” and suddenly you’re at Indigo adding to your classroom library.

Creative writing time outside gave us the chance to be mindful of what we see, hear, smell and feel out in nature. Some students even felt inspired to write poems about the outdoors! @gecdsbmariners

Ended our rocks and minerals unit by mining for chocolate chips in cookies! 1st cookie we could break apart, but the 2nd we had to try to keep intact. H said he learned something very important, “sometimes the easiest way isn’t the best way for the environment.” @gecdsbmariners
