Thanks to all our wonderful experts who provided their expertise and time today for Stage 2’s culminating event. The students did a fantastic job. Can’t wait to see these ideas in action.

Stage 2 presented their designs today in our culminating event. A team of experts were shown our ideas for the bush tucker garden and yarning circle and given feedback on their work. They are very keen to see the project be built next year!

Today for our N2K research we explored possible locations in the school for a yarning circle and bush tucker garden. We created a success criteria to help us and used pic collage to annotate our photos. I wonder what space will work best?

Today we started finding out about bush tucker and different plants we could include in our garden. We watched videos, read articles and used websites to help us.

Today we started our N2K research. We were focusing on finding out about yarning circles and at they are used for. Lots of great information that will help us with PBL this term.

Today in Big Writing we were thinking about using the 5 senses to create an interesting story setting.

We are thinking of Need to Knows to help us answer our Driving Question.

We loved reading the book ‘Three’ by Stephan Michael King. We think that the message of this story was to be thankful for what you have.

We are looking at different CBCA shortlisted books this week. Today we read the book ‘One Runaway Rabbit’ and created our own alternate ending.

We had a fabulous day exploring native plants in the Botanical Gardens and learning about their different uses. I wonder what our next PBL project will be!..

Part Two of our day is being spent in the succulent garden. We are exploring the different succulents and doing some sketching. A very relaxing activity to end our day 🌵 @GoannasCPS

Part one of our Hook Event was spent with Darren and Todd learning about the traditional uses of plants. Some of the plants we saw can be used as food, medicine or tools. This is all going to help us with our PBL this term, I wonder what we could be doing? @GoannasCPS
