Pearl River girls basketball is the No. 1 seed and faces Hen Hud today in the Class A semis, trying to reach the final on Saturday and win its first Section 1 title since 2012. @PRHSGBB won its first ever Section 1 title in 2008 under Hall of Fame coach/player Lorraine Moylan - and 5 years of losing in the final to mighty Lourdes. They won again in 2012. Moylan is back as an assistant coach for the fourth year under PR coach Chris Woolgar, whose sister Ellen starred on the 2009 squad. And even better, Moylan helped Pearl River win the 1976 Section 9 championship as a player, then Lorraine Guerci. The Rangers just moved up one spot to No. 90, giving up a 7th round pick to do it, and they picked Drew Fortescue from the USNDTP by way of Pearl River, NY. There was a contingent of people hear that went bonkers when the pick was announced. They're still screaming and hollering.

Hardest part about a season ending is not seeing these kids/coaches everyday for 1.5+ hrs now. These bonds are so special. I am just so proud. They brought me to the state final, I can't be any more lucky! Love these kids and the memories we have made along the way 🏀💙
