The last 3 days have been nothing short of incredible. I took my leadership team to a secluded beach house where we were able to unplug, refocus, and align on a powerful start to the school year. Here’s to a year of Designing, Building, & Becoming~ “Blueprints of Brilliance”!!!

Spent almost the entire month of June in Maui and reflected on how important it is to have a network/village. 25-26SY, let's remember it's better to partner than to poison & build than to burn. We need each other to make this work. Parents, students, & colleagues.

I am hearing reports of some airlines only offering flight credits to passengers for cancelled flights.

Honorary degrees shouldn’t be a thing anyway. You either went to school and got the degree or you didn’t. In my opinion it’s a slap in the face to the students who worked hard.

It is my honor to announce that I have made history as the first black woman to receive a PhD in Physics from @GeorgiaStateU! During this journey I attained: BS MATH MS MATH MS PHYSICS MS Computer Science PhD Astrophysics

In 2019, I experienced the heart-wrenching loss of my son. In 2022, during my visit to Eisenhower HS, I had the privilege of meeting someone named @Super_jordyn who immediately reminded me of my son. This connection deepened in 2023 when I attended an event, and Jordyn warmly greeted me. Touched by the joy he radiates, I named him my honorary Superintendent. Throughout his senior year, Jordyn kept me updated on his endeavors via Twitter, bringing me so much joy. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ms. @RANESIAEDWARDS and Jordyn’s mom for suggesting we take a picture together after his graduation. In that moment, overwhelmed with emotions, tears welled up in my eyes as thoughts of our dear Joe Jr. flooded my mind. The music started playing and we started dancing. Thankfully, my husband managed to capture this beautiful video, which serves as a testament to my immense pride in Jordyn’s accomplishments.
