@korgsart I’ve stepped foot in hundreds of furry room parties. I can’t remember ever being offered hard drugs or being dissed for declining a drink. I honestly believe it’s not that hard to roll with the right crowd in the fandom and find those who respect your boundaries.

@BouToon I strongly agree. It’s the only feasible solution. Virtual queues don’t solve the issue of a room filling to the max capacity allowed under the fire code. Expand the space. Cut panels to make space if absolutely needed. The demand clearly demonstrates it’s necessary.

These big cons need to have 3, 4, 5 Dealer's Dens. A virtual queue is ridiculous, dealers arent able to land spots, cons would make more money, less crowded, more money spread throughout the community. What is the downside? An extra door person?

@Sairyswolf It’s really true. So many minors who haven’t experienced furry in real life act like the fandom just exists on the internet. Everything is parasocial to them. When really, we’re real people. The best part of furry is what you experience in-person.

I'm reading up on some drama a minor stirred up online. This is going to have negative impact on their reputation within the furdom for years to come.

@Tundru_AD The vast majority of folks have positive experiences with cons. Cons wouldn’t function as they do otherwise. For those who can’t see past Twitter’s algorithm latching on to pushing a handful of folks negative experiences while the rest of us are having a blast, it’s their loss.

It’s wild seeing putiteens complaining “I’ll never do a con after all the bad stuff that happened at MFF” being chronically online must suck

@JTwusky There are suitable platforms for kids to interact with the fandom without being exposed to suggestive content. It should go without saying that Twitter is not one of them. If others want a sanitized experience of the fandom, then they should go elsewhere for it.
