I realised that I've grown up very privileged when I moved to Nairobi. It took me time to adapt to the poverty mindset of the inhabitants of this city. Water rationing, having to use dirty and bug ridden PSVs, zero fresh air. The city was not built for the likes of me.

@Randommest I was staying somewhere in Lagos and asked for tea 😂😂😂 I was brought hot water, powdered milk and a tea bag. When I landed at JKIA, I called my House Manager and asked her to prepare tea…. ‘Nipikie chai ya maziwa na uchemshe kabisa!’ That tea sluurrppeedd! 😂

One thing about travelling out of the region is realizing the tiny things you take for granted. Like a dairy value chain. 😂😂😂 It probably throws many EA residents off how many West African countries use powdered milk and creamers. While Jumuiya et al have fresh milk and UHT.
