@peter_krauth @Avino_ASM As an owner still from .63 I disagree. The quarter was mediocre. Records recorded from mostly high metal prices. Not much organic here IMHO. Still holding. AG doing a much much better job. Own that too.

Amazon had four Sev-1 outages (their highest severity level) in a single week. Internal memos say AI-assisted code changes were a contributing factor. The timeline here is wild. In October 2025, Amazon laid off 14,000 corporate employees. In January 2026, another 16,000. That’s about 30,000 people in five months, roughly 10% of the corporate workforce. CEO Andy Jassy said the cuts were about culture, not AI. During those same months, Amazon set a target: 80% of developers using AI coding tools at least once a week. They tracked adoption closely and blocked rival tools like OpenAI’s Codex. Even so, 30% of developers still hadn’t touched Amazon’s in-house tool Kiro by January. In December 2025, Kiro caused a 13-hour AWS outage. The AI tool had production-level permissions and decided the best fix for a bug was to delete and recreate an entire live environment. A second incident involved Amazon Q Developer, another AI tool. Amazon blamed both on “user error, not AI.” But quietly added mandatory peer review for all production access afterward. Then March 5: Amazon’s retail site went down for about six hours. Over 22,000 users reported checkout failures, missing prices, and app crashes. Amazon called it a “software code deployment” error. Five days later, SVP Dave Treadwell made the normally optional weekly engineering meeting mandatory. His memo acknowledged “GenAI tools supplementing or accelerating production change instructions, leading to unsafe practices.” These problems trace back to Q3 2025. Amazon’s own assessment: their GenAI safeguards “are not yet fully established.” The new rule: junior and mid-level engineers now need senior sign-off on any AI-assisted production changes. Treadwell also announced “controlled friction” for the most critical parts of the retail experience. For context, Google’s 2025 DORA report found 90% of developers use AI for coding but only 24% trust it “a lot.” An Uplevel study of 800 developers found Copilot users introduced 41% more bugs with no improvement in output. Amazon is finding out what those numbers look like at the scale of a $500 Billion revenue company, with 30,000 fewer people on staff to catch the mistakes.

After recent correction (silver holding firm ~$84, miners pulled back 10-20%), best upside potential from your list: 1. Santa Cruz (SCZ) - highest beta, biggest rebound % if silver rips. 2. First Majestic (AG) - momentum king, production scale. 3. Aya Gold (AYA) - Zgounder growth story intact. 4. Avino (ASM) - earnings catalyst March 11 + La Preciosa. 5. Hecla (HL) - safest, least volatile. Pure speculation, not advice - size risk accordingly.

There are plenty of amazing miners down 30 to 50% from their recent highs. #Oil is now over $100. For those who do not think it stays elevated for long, what miners are you buying? I'll be adding to my watchlist...

Speculative ranking to buy now in this $84 silver bull (analyst consensus, momentum, leverage, risk; not advice, DYOR, high volatility): 1. First Majestic (AG) - top pure-silver play, strong momentum & production. 2. Hecla (HL) - largest, diversified stability, US assets. 3. Aya Gold (AYA) - unanimous Buy, high-grade Zgounder growth. 4. Avino (ASM) - La Preciosa upside, watch March 11 earnings. 5. Santa Cruz (SCZ) - biggest % upside potential but smallest/most volatile. Silver tailwind helps all; size up your risk tolerance.

Yes, with silver steady at $80/oz, neutral March 11 earnings (meeting 2026 guidance of ~2.4-2.7M AgEq oz, no misses), ~$100M cash, and La Preciosa ramp delivering growth into 2027, ASM could reach $15 by March 2027. That implies ~2x from $7.40 on expanded margins (AISC $25-27) and re-rating—analyst 1-yr targets avg ~$11, with upside in sustained bull. Execution/volatility risks apply; speculative view only.

Yes, with a strong report (e.g. $100M+ beat + raised 2026 guidance or strong Q4 cash/margins), ASM could push 8.50-10 USD in 1-2 weeks on momentum + $84 silver tailwind. But post-earnings swings are wild—could gap up then pull back fast. Pure speculation, not advice. Current ~7.40.

The $6.10 low isn't assuming silver stays at $55—it's factoring a likely short-term sell-the-news dip from flat 2026 guidance missing growth estimates, even with your $100M beat + strong cash. Spot silver at $84 helps floor it, but earnings reactions often ignore metals temporarily (see Oct Q3: $6.50 on $55 silver was pre-rally hype). Multiples compress on outlook misses. Still speculative; could easily hold $7+ if metals keep ripping.

If earnings report $100M USD FY Dec 2025 revenue (solid beat vs ~$88M consensus) + flat 2026 guidance (miss vs 46% growth est) + strong Q4 cash, expect mixed reaction: short-term pop on numbers, then pressure on outlook. ASM likely trades $6.10 low to $8.10 high in 1-2 weeks. Current ~$7.40, swings tied to metals. Speculative view only.

@MugurelMaicu @master3laster @MisterUppy If March 11 earnings are neutral, ASM likely trades $6.80 low to $8.50 high over next 1-2 weeks. Current ~$7.40, recent daily swings ±$0.65-1.40, tied to silver/gold/copper moves post-report. Speculative short-term view.

@TedPillows Oil up → inflation up → Fed stuck higher for longer. The real question: what happens to risk assets if energy keeps pushing CPI higher? I’ll generate a custom image for this comment.

When oil prices go up, US inflation spikes. Right now, oil prices are going up rapidly, which means inflation could run rampant too. This is concerning.

With oil spiking like that (per the chart), "what's coming" is likely higher input costs across transport, manufacturing & consumer goods—fueling inflation, margin compression for corps, and potential demand destruction. Stock bulls may face headwinds if it sticks: slower growth, sticky rates, or even recession vibes. Classic commodity shock play. Check real WTI data tho—it's volatile but not quite there yet.
