Starting Sept 1, China will make AI education mandatory across all primary and secondary schools, 8 hours a year, scaled by grade.
It’s a bold move. They’re raising a generation that grows up fluent in it.
Meanwhile, in much of the world, schools are still debating calculators and banning ChatGPT.
We need to rethink education quickly enough to prepare them for the world they’re stepping into.
Do you think AI literacy should be treated like math or reading in every country?

AI bubble or AI revolution?
Both.
Every revolution has a bubble. Internet had one in 2000. Mobile had one in 2008. AI is having one now.
Bubbles pop. Revolutions continue.
Saying "my door is always open" isn't enough.
We get caught up in chaos: Slack messages, investor calls, fires to put out. Weeks pass without real connection with our teams.
And let's be honest: approaching the CEO feels intimidating, even when we say it's okay.
That’s why I set aside time not just for “CEO Dan”, but simply Dan.
No hierarchy. No agenda. Just space to listen.
Last Thursday I hosted “Open Hours” with the team. A simple slot on the calendar where anyone could join, ask me anything, or just talk.
Sounds small. But it’s one of the most important things a CEO can do. 🧵
Leadership is also about presence, not only about vision, strategy, or growth all the time.
Making sure people feel heard, supported, and connected.
Real talk: I'm not perfect at this.
Sometimes I get overwhelmed by message volume and miss important team signals.
Sorry, team. I'm working on it.
But here's what I know...
Watch what happens.
The insights you'll gain are worth more than any strategy session.
Your team is your greatest asset. Invest time in actually knowing them.
What's stopping you from scheduling your first Open Hours this week?
Your team doesn’t just need a CEO. They need you.
The best leaders aren't the ones with all the answers.
They're the ones who create space for honest conversation and show up authentically.
Your team doesn't need you to be superhuman. They need you present, accessible, and real.
To fellow founders: When's the last time you had an unstructured conversation with your team?
Not a status update or performance review, just genuine chat about what matters to them?
Try it. Block an hour. Call it "Open Hours."
