i like to think of creators i look up to like vanillamace, markiplier, etc. and the common things among them are that they are comfortable to watch and funny. i think you just need to find your niche or what you’re good at and go with it. and if fan service is what you’re good at, then it’s ok! i’m just saying we shouldn’t tell everyone to do that like it’s a sure way to success

we gotta stop telling vtubers that they need to act a certain way to become successful. it’s better to create content for the type of audience you want to attract if u want a sustainable career/hobby.
appealing to fan service not only feeds into parasocial relationships but also isn’t always a sure way to success. there are so many successful vtubers that have gotten popular because they’re funny, enjoyable to watch, and pure of heart
