It is sad to mourn the loss of a young and promising Leader Hon. Hellen Nakimuli My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and all those affected. Deaths like this remind us how delicate life is… and how critical where we seek care can be. As a medical professional , I have seen both the strength and the challenges within our health system. But one truth remains , Uganda is home to highly skilled professionals working in our public referral hospitals. Facilities like @MulagoSWNH and @MulagoReferral are equipped with: – specialized teams – intensive care support (HDU/ICU) – multidisciplinary expertise for complex cases And this matters… especially when it comes to major procedures like surgery. Yes, complications can happen anywhere. But being in a setting with full capacity can make the difference when every second counts. This is not about fear. It is about awareness. Let us normalize seeking care in well-equipped facilities. Let us ask questions. Let us make informed decisions about our health. Let’s not go to medical centers for surgery. #MHRSIP

The team from Lato thanked our staff in the NICU for the services and care given to their clients. They then shared gifts with some of the current mothers whose babies are currently in the NICU. We thank them for the generosity and token of appreciation.
