Manpower Group’s Net Employment Outlook for Q1 in 2023 is +31% in North America (+29% in the US). Although down slightly from 2022 (Q4 was +33%) we are still very much seeing an employee market. A 🧵

Companies, train your managers. Stop assuming successful ICs can automatically be leaders. They’re different jobs. I’ve recruited for 20 yrs and can confidently say most employed jobseekers wouldn’t be looking if their supervisors had a clue how to manage people effectively.

@Im_Duffman It’s not a 40-hr week for most. Factoring in commutes, lunch time, etc, and monotonous routines with every growing burdens, people are breaking. It’s absolutely an unsustainable state. Your experience may be factoring into your viewpoint…💜

While concerning for HC, we’re seeing comparable predictions across myriad industry sectors. Particularly of import is the repeated cited need for “empathy”- whether for themselves or skills to comfort others. Looks like our best work is ahead, #leadership scholars! @MullMentum
