Today as we launched our annual statistics listen to one women’s story of how she escaped from her perpetrator to a place of safety like over 800 women and children in the last year who needed to stay in a Women’s Aid refuge #16DaysOfActivism2024
BBC Newsline@bbcnewsline

More than 800 women and children have been living in Women's Aid refuges in Northern Ireland in the last year, according to the latest figures from the charity. One woman said she fled her home when she had “a window of opportunity”. She's been speaking our reporter, Eve Rosato.

Members of our team attended Parentline’s launch of their new Parentline Pathways Go To Guide - a fab resource for parents, carers & practitioners. Parents, foster carers & kinship carers called in too. The coffee & treats were great! Digital copies available too. @ChildreninNI

Happy Birthday VOYPIC 🎉 31 years ago today, a group of young people in care, and the adults that supported them, came together to talk about how children with experience of care could be better supported. From that meeting, VOYPIC was born.

Just wanted to say big thank you to @emeldajane2 and BBC for taking time to cover the care experienced young people taking @ulsteruni short course on developmental trauma. The multiple challenges they face need recognition and acknowledgement, and this will help in that regard.
