The Mulvane Tree Board has an open position. The Tree Bd. meets the 2nd Tues. each month at City Hall at 1:00 p.m. In addition there are a few “work days” each year. Interested in this volunteer position? Come to city hall, 211 N. 2nd or call (777-1143) for an application.

Today the pumps at the water reservoir did not turn on. The notification system malfunctioned. Water pressure was lost in the distribution system. The City is under a boil water advisory. Once the boil water advisory is lifted, staff will send out a phone call to our customers.

City of Mulvane Public Works Depart. needs seasonal labor for grounds maintenance. Will work thru through August or Sept. Must be 18 yrs. of age and have a valid driver’s license. 40-hour work week. Pay range of $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Submit apps. to City Bldg. @ 211 N. 2nd.

The Mulvane City Swimming Pool opening day is Tuesday May 30th. You will be able to sign up for swim lessons that day, pool parties, and buy season passes, individual or family at the pool. The phone number for the pool is 316-777-0041 and will not be in service until May 30th.

Mulvane Public Library is sponsoring “Running for Local Office 101” Thursday, April 6th at 6:30 p.m. Current City Council members will speak to citizens about what it is like to run for and serve on the Mulvane City Council. What the process is. This is an informational session.

Mulvane Downtown Community Christmas Tree Lighting Saturday, November 26th @ 7p.m.

On Thurs. Nov. 17th electric utility crews performed maintenance at the El Paso Substation. While disconnected, the City of Mulvane generated electricity to power the city while off-line. The city maintained electric service to our customers throughout the scheduled maintenance.

During the nighttime hours of Thursday, Nov. 17th, electrical crews will perform scheduled maintenance at the EL Paso Substation. Electric customers in Mulvane may experience a power outage between the hours of 11:00 p.m.-3:00 a.m. Info. call 777-1143.
