BBC BROKE EQUALITY LAW AND GOT CAUGHT
Carrie Gracie spent 30 years at the @BBC. She spoke fluent Mandarin. She ran the Beijing bureau. She was one of four international editors, two men and two women.
Then in 2017 the BBC was forced to publish salary data. Gracie looked at what her male equivalent, the North America editor, was earning. He was on nearly double her salary. She had explicitly said equal pay was a condition of taking the China role. The BBC agreed. Then quietly paid her far less anyway.
She asked for equal pay. The BBC offered her a raise that still left her below the men. She turned it down. She resigned from the China post in January 2018 and published an open letter telling the licence fee public exactly what their broadcaster was doing.
The BBC then put her through nearly a year of an internal grievance process that went nowhere. It took three meetings with the Director-General and the threat of an employment tribunal before she got a public apology and the backdated pay owed to her. The total came to £361,000.
She donated every penny to the Fawcett Society (@fawcettsociety), the gender equality charity. She said the fight was about principle, not the payout.
A publicly funded institution, legally obligated to follow equality law, paid women less than men in identical roles, got caught, dragged it out for a year, and only coughed up under threat of a tribunal. That is not a pay oversight. That is a policy.
Gracie did not ask for a favour. She asked for what she was owed. The BBC made her fight for it like it was a privilege.

I wish I had seen @databreachlawyers earlier. My DBS was done incorrectly & after a complaint to the DBS, I was offered financial compensation for loss of earnings. but none for stress until my solicitor told me the DBS recognised that I had suffered moderate stress.

This footage is shaking the internet. What was supposed to be a routine medical check at Marcy Correctional Facility turned into a tragedy that no one was meant to see.
Here Is The Story:
Robert Brooks, a 43 year old musician, was taken to the prison infirmary for an exam.
Because of medical privacy, the officers believed there were no cameras in the room but they didn't realize their own body cams were still recording.
The footage captured a brutal 10 minute assault while Brooks was handcuffed and compliant.
He tragically passed away the next morning from his injuries.
Since the video went public, over a dozen staff members have been fired, and several officers are now facing murder and manslaughter charges.
A firing squad sounds like proper punishment, don’t you think so?

I remember #JackJones and #MarcelWilliams executed by the state of Arkansas on April 24, 2017. It was the first double execution on the same day in the US since 2000. Those men were murdered on the same gurney, hours apart, one at 7pm, the other at 10pm.

🚨This is very disturbing. ICE agents were filmed assaulting MULTIPLE children, who are U.S. citizens, in Edinburg, TX.
In the video, agents are standing around a group of children.
One agent shoves a girl out of the way… then punches a 16-year-old in the face.
A child.
And then it gets worse…
A few minutes later, you can see agents escorting a man from his house… and you can hear people yelling:
“Where is the warrant?”
Because this isn’t complicated… under the Fourth Amendment, you don’t get to enter someone’s home and take them without a warrant.
A home is where your rights are strongest.
And instead of showing a warrant… they continue to kidnap the man.
Meanwhile, ANOTHER minor, already hit by an agent, has blood dripping from his nose… throws his arms around the man being kidnapped… while repeating:
You need a warrant!
A kid… bleeding… having to remind grown federal agents what the Constitution says.
And then it gets even worse.
The video then shows an agent going after a 14-year-old girl… claiming she assaulted him…
After he was just caught on video assaulting multiple minors.
He shoves her head down… yanks her by the arm… then grabs her by the hair. As they’re telling him… over and over…
“She’s 14. She’s a minor.”
He doesn’t stop, or de-escalate.
He keeps going… until another agent steps in and handcuffs her.
Fully grown men are seen…
Shoving children.
Punching children.
Dragged, restrained, and pulling children by the hair…
And claiming the CHILDREN are the threats.
But, in reality… this is excessive force against minors.
This is due process being ignored in real time.
This is what it looks like when people with authority decide the Constitution is more of a suggestion than a limit.
And before anyone jumps in with the usual…
“we don’t know the full story”
No.
There is no version of this where punching a child in the face is standard procedure.
There is no version where you enter a home, don’t show a warrant, and start pulling people out.
There is no version where putting hands on a 14-year-old like that is justified.
If this were happening in any other context… people would be calling it what it is immediately.
This is federal agents abusing children.

This is heartbreaking and unconscionable. After weeks in family detention, toddler Amalia was rushed to a hospital with critically low oxygen levels. She fought for her life in intensive care—under ICE watch—only to be sent back to the very Dilley center where she nearly died, amid widespread respiratory illnesses among children.
This cruelty has no place in America.

Meet Davyon Johnson, an 11 year old from Muskogee, Oklahoma, who saved two lives in a single day. ❤️
At school, a classmate began choking on a bottle cap. Davyon sprang into action, didn’t hesitate & performed the Heimlich maneuver to dislodge it. That same afternoon, Davyon spotted a house engulfed in flames with an elderly woman trapped inside. He charged toward the fire & guided her out to safety. No cameras. No script. Just pure courage & a heart full of compassion.
Because one boy’s decision to act, two lives were spared to see another sunrise.
True change doesn’t require fame or wealth. It starts with kindness in motion & love that steps forward.
Repost to make him famous & keep humanity’s flame alive. ❤️
