Nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti BREAKING: The innocent man who was executed by federal agents in Minneapolis has been identified as 37-year-old nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti. His blood is on Trump's hands. Pretti has an address listed in South Minneapolis and had no serious criminal record with only a few parking tickets. He was a lawful gun owner with a permit and had a nursing license that was issued in 2021 and remains active. It's absolutely paramount that we spread the truth about this man far and wide because Homeland Security is already rushing to smear him. The department released a lie-riddled statement, claiming that Pretti approached federal agents with a 9mm handgun. In reality, footage shows that he approached them with his phone to film. The agents then swarmed him, beat him into submission on the ground, and then executed him by firing multiple rounds into his helpless form. If indeed Pretti did have a gun on him —and it's safe to presume that everything that this administration is a lie until proven otherwise — he had a legal right to carry it. The video offers no indication that he attempted to draw it on the agents. Apparently the Second Amendment only applies to Republicans PLEASE share to demand that the agents be identified and prosecuted

Bob Lefetz It's January 6th all over again. I don't know about you, but I found out about the storming of the Capitol online, on some news site, whereupon I immediately switched to video and watched the riot play out. That's what it was, right? A riot? Everyone agreed. Trump was kicked off of social media platforms, the media testified as to the dark day in America, and Donald was impeached, for the second time. But not convicted. All right... But they were going to get him, right, make him pay for his sins? Well, the spin years later became that 1/6 was a peaceful protest. That if Mike Pence had just done the right thing, none of this would have happened. As for the perps... Trump had nothing to do with it and weren't they just patriots? Why should they be denigrated, incarcerated for their belief in this great nation of ours? Trump let them out of the jails immediately, wiped the slate clean, and Ashli Babbitt, like Charlie Kirk, has been elevated to the level of a deity.

The Guardian yahoo! Your case for the accumulation of public food reserves in the UK, to ensure that we can feed the nation in the event of war, trade disagreements or world shortages, is well made (Editorial, 20 January). We are rapidly moving into times where the risks of such scenarios are high. Without food for its population, the UK would face economic and political breakdown and anarchy. You mention the urgent need to accumulate national stocks of food supplies, probably mostly imported, but say nothing about the UK’s own capacity to produce its own food supply from the agricultural and horticultural industries. In a lengthy period of worldwide food shortage, this would be the only way of avoiding food shortages. Following the food shortages of the second world war, we did reach a level of 78% self-sufficiency in 1984, but this has gradually fallen to 62%. This level of home production is about to decline rapidly as the demand for land from a range of other more lucrative uses continues to grow. House- and road-building, the use of agricultural land for woodland and other carbon-saving purposes, solar farms, the creation of new wildlife habitats, recreational use and the general unprofitability of farming will see our self-sufficiency fall again over the next decade. The government’s own land use framework predicts a 10% reduction in farmland by 2050, but this is likely far short of reality. These alternative uses of land are all beneficial and desirable, but are they ultimately more important than feeding the population? Most other countries do not think so. BBC Kayleen Devlin, Barbara Metzler, Kevin Nguyen Dozens of oil tankers sanctioned by the UK in response to Russia's war in Ukraine have sailed through the English Channel this month despite defence officials vowing to take "assertive action". Since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has used hundreds of ageing tankers with obscured ownership - known as the shadow fleet - to evade sanctions on its oil exports. The BBC understands that the UK government received legal assurances earlier this month that such vessels can be detained. Yet 42 sanctioned tankers tracked by BBC Verify passing through the English Channel did so after that advice was received. Among them was the Sofos - a tanker sanctioned by the UK Foreign Office in May 2025. It moved through the Channel after travelling from Venezuela and is now near the Russian city of St Petersburg. Ship-tracking data shows the Sofos loaded oil in Russia in mid-November, before travelling to Turkey and then to Venezuela, where it switched off its tracking signal. Satellite imagery later placed it at Venezuela's Jose oil terminal on 22 and 23 December, before its signal reappeared outside the country's waters on 26 December.

Trump rips ‘ridiculous’ White House ballroom lawsuit thehill.com/homenews/admin… President Trump on Sunday ripped the National Trust for Historic Preservation over their lawsuit seeking to pause construction of the White House ballroom. The two parties are scheduled for a hearing on Thursday, at which time U.S. District Judge Richard Leon will consider whether to issue a preliminary injunction halting the project. “The so-called ‘preservationists,’ who get their money from the most unusual of places, should not be allowed to stop this desperately needed addition to our GREAT White House, a place that a President has never needed permission to change or enhance, because of the special grounds on which it sits, no matter how big (and important!), that enhancement may be,” the president wrote in a lengthy Truth Social post. “Additionally, in this instance, it is being done with the design, consent, and approval of the highest levels of the United States Military and Secret Service. The mere bringing of this ridiculous lawsuit has already, unfortunately, exposed this heretofore Top Secret fact,” he added. Trump declared the $400 million project a “gift” to the American people, lauding donors for contributing to the ballroom’s construction instead of using taxpayer funds.
The measure has been questioned by legal experts who have raised concerns about whether it’s ethical to have private donors funding additions to the White House.
Still, the president says the ballroom project was cleared by top military officials and lawmakers in Congress and suggested it was “too late” to turn back on construction. “All of the Structural Steel, Windows, Doors, A.C./Heating Equipment, Marble, Stone, Precast Concrete, Bulletproof Windows and Glass, Anti-Drone Roofing, and much more, has been ordered (or is ready to be), and there is no practical or reasonable way to go back. IT IS TOO LATE!” Trump wrote Sunday.

The USA didn't enter World War 11 until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour The Telegraph Kate Nicholson American troops have called Donald Trump a “draft-dodger” and accused him of “denigrating” Britain’s role in Afghanistan. The president, who claimed British forces stayed away from the front line in Afghanistan and left the fighting to the US, received a medical deferment during the Vietnam War for bone spurs. He faced fierce criticisim for his remarks on both sides of the Atlantic, including from one of his former top officials, who warned he could end up isolating the US from its allies."We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan...and they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the frontlines." Mr Trump said of European Forces on Thursday. “We’ve never needed them. They’ll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan… and they did, they stayed a little back, a little off the frontlines,” Mr Trump said of European forces on Thursday. He received five deferments during the Vietnam War, including for a bone spur in his heel. He has denied dodging the draft and said he would have “gladly served”. Shawn VanDiver, a US navy veteran who served alongside British forces off the coast of Iraq, said Mr Trump had never shown “courage” in combat and described his comments as “outright, 100 per cent bulls---”.“For the president to denigrate the service of these patriots is absolutely unconscionable,” he said.
