Southampton lose their way, lose their appeal and will probably lose some of their players. Leo Scienza, Flynn Downes, Caspar Jander, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Shea Charles and Finn Azaz will doubtless all have Premier League admirers. Spygate, and the club’s inept handling of the fall-out, will have reverberations through the summer and beyond. Players and supporters let down by the club.
