@_brinxinx I taught 7/8 English for 20+ years .The key to teaching subject/verb agreement is to identify prepositional phrases and remove them in your mind.Remove of students from the sentence and it's easy to see that the subject is number(singular) and the verb are (plural) needs to be is

@Coachcap77 Coach Farley spent 1970 as an assistant coach at DHS my senior year before he left for his long career at Williams College. In this team photo, he is standing in the top row to the far right. He coached the defensive backs. He was a Danvers legend and we all looked up to him.

Our game lost a great one. I feel fortunate to have coached against Coach Farley many years ago. His program at Williams was second to none. RIP Coach you left our game a little better

@MEBBallRankings Senior night starters for GAHS. They eventually caught up and it went down to the buzzer. Tigers were locked into tourney slot, so it allowed Coach T some wiggle room to start some kids who don't see much playing time. Great finish BTW
