1. If I was making money or claimed that I made something, I would agree, then I would be stealing from the works of others, but I just generate images, I'm not claiming credit for being a skilled artist. I make it clear when I'm drawing myself. 2. We already have boat-loads of data centres for other stuff like search engines, video games, streaming services, you name it. If I'm, to be consistent, I should be upset about them consuming energy as well. 3. I'm not familiar with people having farm land taken away by force. What I have seen is they're being paid. Maybe there are other people that disagree with the transaction, but as far as the owner and buyer is concerned, it's consensual.

@Murray_2nd Christianity wise, Ai generated images steal from other artwork against their will. Thus, AI is a tool of theft. It's also damaging the world in multiple ways. Taking in tons of water, more electricity than all of the U.S, taking away farmland and houses from people by force.

@furbalurbalurb It's good that sites like GOG allows for downloading DRM free files, but yeah. Kinda worried about Steam. It's at least good that Steam allows for you to still download games even if they're no longer in the store, as long as you at some point have purchased them.

@furbalurbalurb I have a region free BD player for movies, but I've never felt the need to burn BD discs. Games never come on BD disc either (they don't come on discs at all lol).
