We are deeply saddened by the passing of the extraordinary musician Marilyn Mazur. A master percussionist and musical visionary, we were honoured to tour Marilyn with the Marilyn Mazur Special 4 last year, an experience we will always treasure. Marilyn’s music, spirit, and boundless creativity touched everyone who had the privilege of hearing her play and her legacy will continue to resonate for many years to come. May she rest in peace. Clare in early 2026. 🎵The Music Network Lullaby Residency, designed and led by Eamon Sweeney, is an inter-cultural music project for young children and their families. Running since 2022, it is centred on the learning and sharing of lullabies from different cultures and countries. The Lullaby Residency will run on consecutive Fridays from 20 February to 27 March 2026. We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the distinguished violinist Geraldine O’Grady. An iconic figure in Irish classical music, we were honoured to have toured Geraldine with Veronica McSwiney in 1991. Her artistry will leave a lasting impact on Ireland’s musical landscape. As former president Michael D Higgins said of O’Grady’s artistic contribution to Irish society, "There is no doubt that the Irish world of music owes her an enormous debt of gratitude." We extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues within the music community.
