Why do we follow the Madhahib of the 4 Imams and not the Sahabah directly? 📍Thread

@darthpilled Likewise, I say that the hanafi reasoning is extremely weak but it is neither your nor my place to rebuke someone for following their madhhab. Our opinions are worthless in the Shari'ah.

@Musa_Maliki_ I am well aware of allthese electromagnetic waves, mirror, umum al-balwa arguments. I have done a quite good research in this topic and even discussed face to face with those muftis who allow it and i must say their dalail are weaker than a spider's web.

Take pictures with your homies Shaykh Muhammad Bakhit al-Muti'i al-Hanafi took a picture with Shaykh 'Abd al-Hayy al-Kettani and gifted it to him, reciting a poetry: I have confined my likeness for you in this; because parting with my loved ones is heavy upon my heart. So if I am among the living, my body is present with you; And if I am among the dead, my image remains among the living.

Rather the opposite, they came to the conclusion that taking a photo is not the same as تصوير in a legal sense through research. This is evident when you read their fatawa, they distinguish between capturing an image through light and actually producing an image by drawing or crafting. Don't bring your hanafi ta'assub into this

@darthpilled I don't have to put a disclaimer every time the hanafi madhhab differs. The layman needs to consult a mufti if he wishes to inquire about the issue.

@Musa_Maliki_ I know. But the general public will get the impression that its permissible even in hanafi madhhab. You should have made it clear in your tweet for laymen.

Obeseness was actually preferred among Egyptians well before this period. Not of course at the same level as what we today usually associate with modern American obesity, but still as a bulkier and fatter appearance than the mere plumpness typically praised among the Arabs. Such obeseness that some of the fuqaha spoke about and condemned as an abhorrent evil and a bid'ah was of such type that those women could no longer perform istinja' on their own, because they physically could not reach the place of impurity. As a result, they were left either praying with najasah still on them, or having to ask a maid or often multiple maids to clean them and having their 'awrah exposed.

@Musa_Maliki_ Reminder for the obese women reading this; The degree of fatness of that era is different compared to this era.

Shaykh Zarruq on OCD/waswas: "Ritual purity has its afflictions, among them is waswas. Its root cause is either ignorance of the sunnah or a defect in the intellect. Its escape is by ignoring the doubts and realizing that no deed, however great, can ever venerate Allah in a manner that He truly deserves." He added in his commentary on the Risalah: "One can seek help in repelling it (waswas) by examining the differences of opinion among the scholars."

Ibn Abd al-Barr stated in his Bahjat al-Majalis ص ١٧٤: "Ibn Shubrumah heard from Muhammad bin Sirin that he said: 'I have never seen a garment on a man more adorning than eloquence, nor have I seen a garment on a woman more adorning than fatness.' People used to say: 'If fatness were to be asked, 'where are you going?' It would answer: 'To correct crookedness.' "

“Şişmanlık güzelliğin yarısıdır; kadındaki her kusuru örter ve güzelliklerini ortaya çıkarır.” Bu yüzden “güzel” (cemîle) denmiştir; “Cemel” kökünden gelir ki bu da yağ (şişmanlık) demektir. ||Dîvân es-Sabâbeh||

I have experienced it and it only went away by studying fiqh in-depth. Making sure that you have wiped every inch is exactly what amplifies the OCD, you just feed it with more doubts. Most people are also not aware or think that certainty is required for dalk while having ghalabatul dhan already suffices, and that's the case for many other masa'il.

@Musa_Maliki_ It won't change much you have to experience it to understand it. You'll study fiqh on these questions: Ignoring doubts (this is the solution, but it's very difficult to do) You have to ignore it after 2-3 days if it keeps happening (very hard)

@Musa_Maliki_ What's the ruling in the madhab? I thought that the Ma'mum has to have the same niyyah as the imam which would be difficult in this case?
