𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐬 is an evident effort by Housemarque to lure in those who may have exercised caution regarding Returnal's difficulty and learning curve. Nonetheless, Saros has surpassed its predecessor in narrative and gameplay mechanics in a significant manner. Review Platform : PS5 Pro Story : 10-15h Platinum : +15h Difficulty : 3/10 𝑴𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 +13 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆: 🟢 While Saros is still not too keen on narrative, it has drastically refined the story, cutscenes and the characters 🟢 Mesmerizing Visual Fidelity 🟢 Challenging Boss Fights in the Later Stages 🟢 Flawless Gameplay Flow 🟢 Melodious Original Soundtrack 🟢 Acceptable Amount of “Artifacts” during the Entirety of its Gameplay 🟢 Addition of a Skill Tree Rewards Players for All their Affords; which corresponds to their trademark slogan “come back stronger” 🟢 Omission of RNG from Collectibles Trophy 🟢 Addition of a Game-changing Shield Mechanics 🟢 Addition of Power Weapons; which are both good in variety and enjoyable to use 🟢 Great Performance; no frame drops, bugs or glitches 🟢 Fast Loading 🟢 Great Dualsense Utilization 🟡 Lackluster Diversity of Weapons 🔴 The first half of the game is uninspiring both in biomes and boss fights 🔴 Graphical Issues in some Cutscenes With all the additions Housemarque has implemented to modify the experience, there remains no whys and wherefores in experiencing Saros. This new IP is yet another exciting and engaging experience of 2026. I highly recommend trying out Returnal after Saros if you haven’t already become a veteran! Final Score: 8.75/10 #Saros

The horror scene that still lives rent free in your head.
