Starting Monday, June 1, the Bonnie Drive entrance into Muscatine High School will be closed for repaving. Visitors, students and staff should use the Cedar Street or Houser Street entrances to access the high school during this project.

MHS boys soccer saw its season come to an end Wednesday night with a 1-0 loss to Iowa City Liberty in a Class 4A substate semifinal. The Lightning scored the only goal in the 64th minute of the match. The Muskies close the year 9-6-2. Fun season, boys.

All-MAC boys soccer teams are out. Muscatine has five players represented: Cole Loos (first team), Santiago Calderon (second team), Adam Fisher (second team), Jackson Evans (HM), Noah Cerda (HM). Loos leads Muskies with 11 goals & 9 assists.

The Muscatine girls soccer team closed the regular season with a 7-0 win over Marion on Tuesday night. MHS (5-10-1) plays at Ottumwa in a regional quarterfinal Thursday night.

The Muscatine High School softball team opens the 2026 season Tuesday night on the road against Fort Madison before returning home Thursday for the conference opener against Davenport North. The Muskies are coming off a 26-11 season and are ready to make more noise this summer.

The Muscatine High School boys and girls track & field teams departed Wednesday evening for Des Moines as they prepare to compete at the state meet inside Drake Stadium! Over the next three days, the Muskies will compete against the best in the state. Good luck, Muskies!

The fifth annual Wieskamp Basketball Skills Camp will be held Friday, June 26 at Susan Clark Junior High. More details, including registration, will be released soon. Joe Wieskamp, a 2018 graduate of MHS, has played professional basketball across the world the past five years.

MHS celebrated the Class of 2026 Sunday during commencement ceremonies at Muscatine Community Stadium, honoring the 160th graduating class in school history. A total of 336 seniors received their diplomas as family, friends, staff & community members gathered to celebrate.

KENT Worldwide hosted a ceremony recognizing two Muscatine students participating in its IT Apprenticeship Program. Derrick Lewandowski, a 2025 MHS graduate, was celebrated for completing the program. The ceremony also welcomed MHS sophomore Annavella Lomas into the program.

On Friday, members of the Class of 2026 returned to where their educational journey began — walking the hallways as graduating seniors. Students lined the halls, cheering on and congratulating the graduates who once walked those same hallways as elementary students.

Muscatine High School's boys soccer team dropped a 4-3 contest to Bettendorf on Thursday night at the stadium. The Muskies conclude the regular season 9-5-2 overall and 6-2-1 in MAC play. MHS opens substate play Wednesday, May 27 at home against Iowa City Liberty at 7 pm.
