In what world should the government decide where your child goes to school? Not in Oklahoma. Here, parents call the shots. Families can get up to $7,500 to send their kids to the school of their choice.

@LtGovPinnell It’s amazing how sound investment in infrastructure and education benefit communities.

There was 6K people in Frisco in 1990…its pop is projected to be 350K in the next 5 years. How did they do it? They invested its share of sales tax in infrastructure, & poured $ into schools—smaller schools—this has yielded a dozen HS to date. #wsj

2) I will be teaching in their Master of Arts in Museum Studies program. There are a lot of people who have mentored me over the years, and now it is my turn to encourage the next generation of museum professionals.

I have some exciting news to announce. After 20 years in museums, I will begin a new adventure this fall by joining the faculty at the Doge Family College of Arts and Sciences School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Oklahoma. 🧵

@GovStitt I think you meant to say local school boards build the schools and teachers educate the kids.

I’ve said it from day one: states build the schools, states educate the kids. Oklahomans know what our kids need.

@GovStitt I don’t think the government can spend my money better than I can. But I do believe the government can combine my tax dollars with others to provide effective and quality services that I cannot provide for myself or others.

Unfortunately, it’s Tax Day. A friendly reminder that the government thinks it can spend your money better than you can. We know that’s not true. Members of the Legislature— send me a bill that cuts the income tax!
